Hep Can’t Wait: Women Living with Hep @1AM HST

“Women living with viral hepatitis face unique challenges. Hepatitis affects women differently throughout the stages of their lives, and there is limited research on the burden of hepatitis among women. Their experience of living with hepatitis is also often looked at through the lens of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT)—despite hepatitis not only affecting pregnant mothers. Women living with hepatitis often experience stigma and discrimination, which can be different to the stigma that men face. Ahead of International Women’s Day, this panel discussion and Q&A will explore the unique perspectives of women living with hepatitis and will celebrate the women that are driving the hepatitis response and supporting other women living with hepatitis.”
