Utilizing Harm Reduction Strategies to Address Racial Inequities @8AM HST

The first Community of Practice (CoP) in California Prevention Training Centerʻs (CAPTC) series will highlight strategies which can be utilized to address racial inequities for people seeking to access harm reduction services.  The presentation will also highlight the benefits of delivering syringe services program services and HIV testing through nonclinical settings for and within underserved communities.

By the end of this three-session virtual series, attendees of the Syringe Service Program (SSP) CoP will be able to:

  • Identify 3 strategies for strengthening community engagement in SSP activities which support people who inject drugs (PWID)

  • Discuss 3 strategies for integrating diversion programs in syringe services programs

  • Describe 3 harm reduction strategies to ensure equitable access to SSP and other HIV prevention and care services for PWID
