World Hepatitis Testing Week: Scaling up hepatitis B within triple elimination programmes

“Triple elimination of the vertical transmission (EVT) of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B will save thousands of lives each year. Triple elimination programmes are also key to achieving hepatitis elimination. By simplifying access to testing for pregnant women, triple elimination enables timely interventions to prevent vertical transmission – the most common cause of chronic hepatitis B. It is also a gateway to family testing, ensuring that more people living with hepatitis B are diagnosed and linked to treatment and care. As part of World Hepatitis Testing Week, the World Hepatitis Alliance is hosting a webinar to explore the critical role of triple elimination as part of comprehensive hepatitis programmes.
