“Globally, it is estimated that 12 million people are living with hepatitis delta. Although hepatitis delta accounts for approximately 20% of liver disease, access to screening and treatment is largely unavailable. With exciting developments in the treatment pipeline, it is more critical than ever that we increase diagnosis rates and address the existing barriers to scaling up testing. As part of World Hepatitis Testing Week, the World Hepatitis Alliance is hosting a webinar to explore the current testing landscape for hepatitis delta, the existing recommendations and guidelines, barriers to testing, and actionable next steps for scale up.
