“The purpose of the conference is to create a space in which those with direct and indirect experience of liver cancer, as well as with risk factors, can learn more about the disease itself, including basic epidemiology, the importance of early detection and routine surveillance, challenges and opportunities for improvement in this area, experiences in navigating the HCC cascade of care, research updates, strategies for addressing HCC at the community level, and how best to work collaboratively to improve HCC outcomes. We’ll provide a platform for people with lived experience, health care providers, and researchers to engage in meaningful conversation about hepatocellular carcinoma.”
