Hawaiʻi Immunization Update @12PM HST

“Vaccines and immunization are an important part of individual and community health. With today’s changing landscape, it’s more important than ever for healthcare providers to remain up to date and knowledgeable on evidence-based resources, guidance, and tools. Healthcare providers have an important role of educating, communicating, and supporting their patients to make informed decisions. This webinar will cover two key updates: 1. Hawaii’s new immunization system, HiSIS (Hawaii State Immunization System) 2. American Academy of Pediatrics' 2025 Immunization Schedule

Objectives: AAP 1. Understand the use of the 2025 AAP's Recommended Immunization Schedules for Children and Adolescents Aged 18 or Younger in the United States 2. Identify key features of the 2025 AAP Recommended Immunization Schedule HiSIS 1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the new Hawaii State Immunization System (HiSIS) 2. Understand the capabilities and functions of the Public Portal 3. Identify the benefits of using HiSIS as a healthcare and vaccine provider

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Hawaii Public Health Institute and the Western Region Public Health Training Center (WRPHTC). The WRPHTC is jointed accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continued Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
