Leadership Celebration (45th Anniversary) is a virtual celebration planned for February 17, 2021 at 4 pm PT. During this event we will acknowledge ALF’s 2020 Distinguished scientific Achievement Awardee, Gyongyi Szab, MD, PhD and will hear from three Nobel Laureates:

1. Harvey Alter, MD, his work that led to the discovery of the hepatitis C virus.

2. Michael Houghton, PhD, DSc – co-discovered Hepatitis D Genome in 1986 and co-discovered Hep C in 1989 – Nobel Prize Laureate in 2020

3. Charles Rice, PhD – UC Davis alumni – Nobel prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine.
