Grant Award to Prevent Cancer!


We are excited to announce that we are one of ten awardees of the highly competitive national Community Grants from the Prevent Cancer Foundation

Starting in September 2017, Hep Free Hawaii will collaborate with the Hawaii Department of Health and Kalihi-Palama Health Center to prevent liver cancer by linking Pacific Islanders to culturally appropriate hepatitis B education, care coordination, medical care, and treatment.  

We look forward to implementing this grantto ensure that our underserved and at-risk communities get the care that they need for hepatitis B.  Mahalo to Prevent Cancer Foundation as well as our fiscal sponsor, the CHOW Project!

Hepatitis C Mini Grant Award!

We are honored and excited to share the news below from the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR)

The CHOW Project is one of seven awardees of the highly competitive national NVHR Hepatitis C Project Booster Mini-Grants!  In collaboration with Hep Free Hawaii's Hepatitis Care Coordinator program, the CHOW Project will develop a confidential registry tracking all of its clients along the hepatitis C continuum of care.

We look forward to implementing this grant with CHOW to ensure that our most at-risk communities get linked to appropriate hepatitis C care and services!
